Maytag iQ Drive System for Dependable Total Home Comfort

We started selling Maytag AC systems about four years ago.  We were excited about the new Maytag iQ Drive System.  It uses inverter rotary technology, which is the best available today. These systems are ultra-efficient and have the highest SEER ratings on the market: 23 SEER for the 2-ton and 21 SEER on for 3-ton & 4-ton models.

Traditional compressors cycle on and off, operating at 60 hertz when running.  But iQ Drive inverter technology has almost infinite modulation for a perfectly even variance.  In other words, while traditional compressors kick on at full speed to compensate for a small change in temperature, iQ Drive inverter technology alters the compressor speed just enough to match the slightest change in air temperature, so the temperature is much more consistent throughout your home.  In addition, it runs as low as 15 hertz, so it uses much less energy.

The Maytag iQ Drive System uses networked digital controls to provide a much higher level of comfort.  The controller that serves as your thermostat constantly monitors both temperature and humidity.  If the humidity rises above the set point you choose, it will slow the fan and ramp up the compressor to reduce the humidity to the level that is most comfortable to you.

In addition, the Maytag iQ Drive Comfort System produces the lowest levels of sound in the industry.  Today's traditional compressors operate at 3,600 rpm power.  Even with full insulation, sound blanket, sound-absorbing base, lubricated motor, and swept fan blade, you can hear them inside your home when they are running.  The Maytag iQ Drive rotary compressor can ramp down to 900 rpm for ultra-low power operation and an ultra-low noise level.  That makes for a quieter home, especially at night.

We offer this system, and other Maytag products, with a 12-Year Parts and Labor Warranty and a 12-Year Dependability Promise.  If the outdoor compressor or the furnace heat exchanger fails within the first 12 years, we will replace the entire outdoor unit or indoor furnace at no charge.
